LNG prices continue to be affected by a regional escalation of the war in Gaza over the past fortnight. The end of September saw deepening tensions between Israel and the Lebanon-based Hezbollah, leading to a rising Israeli offensive in Lebanon. In addition, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel late on 01 Oct, prompting Israel to “vow” to retaliate against Iran. The LNG market has since been riddled with uncertainty regarding a possible Israeli attack on Iranian oil and nuclear infrastructure.
